DVDs are going for really cheap these days. Whenever I go to a record/DVD store these days, I see all this good stuff in the '2 for $30' and '2 for $20' racks, and I can't help stocking up.
I stopped by Sunrise Records on Friday night, coming back from Taste of the Danforth, and picked up the Coen Brothers' Intolerable Cruelty for $7.99! It's certainly not the best film they've made, but the dinner scene between Catherine Zeta-Jones and George Clooney - George: I assume you're a carnivore? Catherine: Oh, Mr. Massey, you have no idea. - alone is worth eight bucks.
The best film from the Coen brothers - actually, one of the best films from anyone - would have to be Miller's Crossing. I paid $35 for that DVD, and it's been worth every cent.
