Something people seem to have missed in the Steve Jobs Keynote today...
Posted on: 2007-01-09

I haven't seen it yet, but I understand from the notes people took there that Steve played a Beatles song on one of the new devices. This, along with the change of name from 'Apple Computer' to just plain 'Apple', seems to imply that they've worked things out with the other Apple, the Beatles' music publisher - after thirty years or so of legal wrangling.

Expect a follow-up Steve presentation in the next few months to present a limited-edition Beatles iPod, probably tied in with a remastered Beatles catalogue. Maybe they'll get Paul and Ringo to play something.

You heard it here first!
